If you like your riddles with a shiver down the spine, this file is for you. The Haunted Quilt of Hollow Manor is the Mystery, She Sewed Halloween case, and its riddles arrived with an extra helping of atmosphere. Here are all three Halloween mystery riddles in one place: two that are safe to solve, and a final one that waits behind a spoiler cover because it gives away rather more than an object.
Riddle one

I hang in halls but never walk,
I hold memories though never talk.
Stitched with care yet torn with fright,
I vanish only in the dead of night.
What am I?
Riddle two

I rest where whispers never fade,
Bound by wax yet unafraid.
I keep the truths that others burn,
But open me, and you may learn.
What am I?
Ready to check your answers?
Guesses first, detective. Then lift the cover.
Reveal the answers to riddles one and two
Riddle one: a quilt. It hangs, it holds memories, and at Hollow Manor it did not stay put.
Riddle two: a sealed letter. Bound by wax, keeping truths that someone tried to burn.
The final riddle (spoiler territory)
The last riddle arrived late in the case, and it is told in a voice from inside the story. If you have not stitched Hollow Manor yet, leave it sealed until your investigation is done.
Spoiler alert: open the final riddle

I wrote of figures stitched in flame,
Of promises bought in another’s name.
If they read my words, they’d see
The fire was never meant for me.
No answer here, I am afraid. Who wrote those words, and what became of them, is revealed inside the case. Some secrets belong to the manor.
Fancy a haunting of your own?
